Chale Bay Farm is an award-winning, family-friendly, luxury guesthouse nestling in rolling fields in the south-west of the Isle of Wight.
Located on the Isle of Wight’s Heritage Coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), it boasts panoramic sea views of the iconic Needles and the chalk cliffs of Tennyson Down. Set in 26 acres of countryside, Chale Bay Farm provides an idyllic and tranquil setting for your holiday, but is within easy reach of the rest of the island and its countless attractions.
The Isle of Wight is located just off the south coast of England in the English Channel and is separated from the mainland by the Solent. It’s diamond-shaped and just 23 miles wide. Despite its relatively small size, the Isle of Wight is said to have more attractions per square mile than anywhere else in the UK. From Chale Bay Farm, you can reach most of them in less than 30 minutes by car. As well as great beaches, there’s everything from safaris and dinosaur trails to festivals, art galleries and museums.
The guest bedrooms and suites are set around an attractive courtyard with an illuminated water garden in the centre. They each have their own front door and offer uninterrupted views out to the sea or of local beauty spots.
This accommodation is licensed and the bar (and terrace, when the weather permits) can be opened up for guests at a moment’s notice. A good selection of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks is available.
There are six luxury, en suite double rooms, some of which can be set up as twin rooms if required. Four have their private patio area, where you can soak up the sunshine and the views.
There are two spacious family suites offering accommodation split over two levels. They normally sleep four, but can sleep up to seven, depending on the age of the children. Classic rooms have been upgraded ready for the start of the 2015 season and now enjoy many of the enhancements that were previously only available in Superior rooms, including the addition of a sofa and coffee table to create a relaxing lounge area. The Deluxe Superior room now has air conditioning.
All rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard in a smart, contemporary style. They feature Egyptian cotton bedding; complimentary Gilchrist & Soames toiletries; free, wireless internet access; flat screen televisons; and DAB digital radios with iPhone docking stations. If you stay in a Superior Room, you’ll also receive a fruit platter.
Blu-ray players and game consoles are available, as are travel cots and ironing boards.
Prices for a double room range from £99 to £165 per night, and prices for a family suite range from £175 to £250 per night. Look out for great value special offers, including free room upgrades, 10 per cent off deals and packages with ferry fares included.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant between 8.30am and 10am. There’s an extensive buffet, as well as a hot cooked breakfast and many à-la-carte options. The ingredients are locally-sourced wherever possible.
