Located just outside the pretty Norfolk village of Great Massingham, The Dairy and The Cartlodge, together with West Heath Barn, offer visitors a choice of self-catering or B&B accommodation in a tranquil, rural setting.
Set in nine acres of land just off Peddars Way, a 46 mile-long, ancient footpath, there’s no wonder this property is popular with walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers. There are many footpaths and bridleways for guests to explore, one of which leads you to the award-winning Dabbling Duck pub and restaurant in Great Massingham, which is less than a mile away. You’ll probably spot the resident alpacas in the paddock as you set off.
Those interested in exploring the wider area will find a host of picture postcard villages just waiting to be discovered. The market towns of Kings Lynn, Swaffham and Fakenham are 20 minutes away, and the royal estate at Sandringham is also nearby. The north Norfolk coast, with its unique salt marshes and fabulous beaches, is a 25-minute drive away.
The Dairy, The Cartlodge and West Heath Barn are three separate barns, all of which date back to the 1850s and have recently been converted to offer beautifully appointed accommodation. The barns were previously part of a working farm, and care has been taken to retain their rustic charm and character. Their interiors are decorated in a contemporary, country style that enhances the beautiful features of the buildings themselves. All three barns are beautifully appointed, but have a homely look and feel.
