Set in the grounds of the award-winning boutique B&B, Higher Gitcombe, Treetops is an amazing sanctuary with stunning views over Dartmoor. Perfectly placed in a quiet rural spot on high ground between Totnes and Dartmouth. The South Hams is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Treetops is both self-contained and self-catering, which gives you all the freedom that you crave but brings with it the type of luxury you might associate with a top brand hotel.
Upon arrival, step out on to the veranda and you’ll see how Treetops gets its name. Whether a fresh spring day, a crisp bright winter’s day or one of those long hazy, lazy days of summer, you’ll appreciate the panorama over the local National Park.
No luxury is overlooked at Treetops and you will arrive to a chilled bottle of champagne, with a choice of coups or flutes to suit your taste. As you are in Devon, cream tea is also provided, with fresh scones, homemade farmhouse jam, clotted cream and fresh strawberries. With all of this at your fingertips, you may well be hard pushed to explore the local area – but do. You will be well rewarded.
From the comfort of the circular day bed on the veranda, you will be able to plan your itinerary. Treetops is a newly-built property, nestled in the South Hams, just ten minutes from Dartmouth and 15 minutes from Totnes, with direct rail links to London and Cornwall. Treetops is perfectly situated for an escape from the city or the most wonderful add-on to Cornish holiday. Why rush home?
This new build self-catering holiday home is for exclusive use so that you can really let your hair down and make the most of the precious down time that you have. Not only is Treetops tucked away down an iconic English country lane, but it is within easy reach of some of the most famous coastal resorts on the English Riviera, including Torquay and Totnes. If you are looking for a little piece of British wilderness, Treetops is right beside the Dartmoor National Park – you’ll be able to take in the views from your own private veranda.
Upon arrival, you can get your break off to a luxurious start with a glass of complimentary bubbles or have a cup of tea and a cookie so that you can save your champagne for a bedtime bath in the stunning ‘egg shaped’ free-standing bath.
What makes Treetops very special is the fact that you have the property all to yourselves, so you know that you won’t bump into other guests as you wrap yourself up in a Treetops dressing gown and head out to the veranda for a morning coffee and a show-stopping panorama over Dartmoor.
Treetops is both modern and contemporary, bringing with it the kind of uncomplicated living that only happens when every last need has been catered for. You can relax on the circular day bed and listen to the sounds of nature, or relax on the sumptuous deep-cushioned Italian leather sofa and watch a good DVD. If you have a little energy to spare, you may enjoy a board game!
Your exclusive stay starts the moment that you arrive at the property, with reserved private parking next to the property. The bolt-hole is completed with your own private entrance to a secluded patio and seating before you enter the property through French doors to the kitchen.
The kitchen is fully fitted and has everything that you might need for your Treetops stay. With dishwasher, microwave, fridge with freezer section, cooker with hob and all necessary crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, you will find it a pleasure to spend time in.
If the evening cools a little, you can retire inside to the large Velux window where you can continue to watch life on Dartmoor from the vantage point of a bar stool.
