Villa Rose is open most of the year, giving you the opportunity to enjoy each season with the different activities that this stunning valley with seven mountains can offer you. Samoens is located in the heart of the Grand Massif and is the only French mountain resort to be classified as a national heritage site. It’s beautiful traffic-free square and main streets, lined with stone and timber buildings, are full of specialty shops offering alpine decor, local charcuteries, cheers, wine, patisseries and chocolatiers. The typical Savoyard market each Wednesday is a must do for foodies.
With 265km of pistes, this is the fourth largest ski-linked area in France, with an excellent snow record. Being located only 50 minutes from Geneva airport, Samoens provides an easy opportunity to realise a long ski weekend or mountain break. In the summer, the Grand Massif is walking and cycling paradise and is renowned for its stage in the Tour de France. Climbing, via Ferrata and parapenting are also popular in the area, as are the range of exhilarating water based activities such as kayaking, canyoning, rafting and hydrospeeding.

Recently renovated and beautifully restored, this light-filled 1900s period property combines tradition with modernity in the very centre of this authentic Savoyard village. The grand four-story villa offers five large, individually designed en-suite bedrooms comfortably welcoming 12 guests.
There are also a number of other rooms for guests to enjoy. Choose from The Salon, a light filled room incorporating two seating areas where you can choose to either curl up with a good book whilst enjoying a leisurely aperitif in front of the log fire, or settle down in front of the large screen Apple TV. Alternatively, the sunroom with its glass panelled walls and hot pink sofa, is a veritable sun trap and a wonderful place for a morning coffee, or whiling away an afternoon over a magazine or iPad.
The dining area is accessed via a sweeping fuchsia staircase, accommodating guests for breakfast, afternoon tea, refreshments and dinner. It can also be transformed for exclusive bookings into a private dining room or romantic dinners for two can be arranged. For those enjoying a ski-ing break, Villa Rose has a private ski entrance with ski room, ski storage and boot warmers and there is now a recent addition of an outdoor jacuzzi that can also be enjoyed.
As one of France’s ‘Villes Fleuries’ the whole village of Samöens is renowned for its floral displays during the summer and Villa Rose enjoys being part of this tradition. As the Villa is 1900s Belle-Époque, the garden has been replanted to reflect its original style.

Offering five large, individually designed en-suite bedrooms (four king or queen bedrooms and one suite with a king bedroom and twin room), each room is named after things that bring pleasure. Featuring designer wallpapers from brands such as Designers Guild to bespoke linens from a small atelier in Milan, the rooms radiate style and will appeal to those with an appreciation of luxury interiors.
All rooms are extremely well equipped having been designed with luxury and comfort in mind. The finest bespoke Italian linens, plush towels, Frette bathrobes, slippers and down duvets, are only a few of the amenities you will find in this stylish accommodation. Modern day essentials such as WIFI, HD TV and Apple TV are available in all room, alongside handpicked toiletries, heated towel rails, lighted make-up mirrors and worldwide travel adaptors. Some rooms offer complimentary use of an IPad. Dependent on the location of each room, views of either the mountains and valley, or alternatively the gardens, can be enjoyed by guests.
In-room tea and coffee and mineral water are supplied, whilst daily housekeeping is provided as is an afternoon sweet treat prepared by Chef Daniel.

- Villa Rose has 4 double bedrooms (beds cannot be made into twins) and 1 family suite with a king size bed and 2 single beds. One cot and one high chair is available for babies and one extra bean bag suitable for children 7 years and under.
Villa Rose prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients, using organic and locally sourced products wherever possible. Chef Daniel caters for all dietary requirements. Each guest is contacted prior to arrival to discuss dietary needs including personal likes and dislikes, before preparing both breakfast and dinner menus that meet individual requirements.
A sample menu of the daily breakfast includes a seasonal fresh fruit platter and local yogurts along with homemade muesli or granola. French pastries and breads, fresh orange juice and smoothies are also available. This is followed by your choice of Eggs Benedict, Smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on toast, Apple and vintage cider rarebit, Crepes or Local sausage and mushroom hash with poached eggs.
Evening meals are also available, with Chef Daniel’s gourmet 4 course dinner with wine gaining rave reviews from guests.
