Once an island now connected to the mainland, the charming old fishing port of Rovinj, with its coloured houses and tall church spire, appears almost as a mirage on the horizon, floating betwixt sky and sea.  A vision of loveliness, especially when the sun is setting, Rovinj is one of the most picturesque towns in the Mediterranean and undoubtedly one of Croatia’s star attractions.
