Once a scouts hut and then an office, the building has been totally re-invented with imaginative use of space, restored original features and quirky little touches. The name itself has been re-claimed as ‘two bare feet’ which was once the name of a coffee shop located in the courtyard in the 1960’s. This is a totally unique house which is available to book either as individual rooms or in its entirety and sleeps up to 9 people.
Winchester is a fabulous place to visit whether you are looking for a romantic city break, a shopping trip with friends or a family get together. The fast and frequent rail links make it a popular weekend destination, especially for those living in London. Bursting with a plethora of cafes, bars and restaurants, the city offers plenty of choice when it comes to eating out. You can enjoy shopping, a trip to the theatre or a stroll through the city to Cathedral Square, or a walk along the river and on into water meadows. There are plenty of historic sites to visit in and around Winchester itself, or if you fancy travelling further afield, you can take a day trip to the beautiful South Downs, New Forest or the Isle of Wight.
Two Bare Feet has been imaginatively re-invented and every aspect of the house now offers a warm and welcoming environment. With high, brilliant white ceilings the interior has splashes of deep rich colour, giving a crisp and vibrant feel with glimpses of Morocco.
The three individually styled bedrooms have all been designed to make guests feel as comfortable as possible. The bedrooms are private and come complete with lockable doors, king size beds, 32 inch TVs, wifi, ensuite bathrooms and lounge areas.
The open kitchen/dining area means guests can relax and comfortably spend time together, with the separate rooms offering privacy as and when required. The fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering easy, with enough space to cook everything from a full English breakfast to a roast dinner and there’s also a handy Nespresso machine.
Each of the three rooms comes with its own name and unique features which makes choosing which one to stay in half the fun!
Little House – You will love climbing the stairs to the bunk style king size bed in Little House, fully made up with luxury Egyptian cotton sheets, duvet and plump pillows. The en-suite bathroom has a large walk in shower and guest toiletries are provided. Downstairs the comfy seating area has a desk/dressing table (perfect if you are travelling with work), along with a 32 inch smart TV so that you can catch up on your favourite films.
Room 101 – this is a duplex style room with a cottage feel. There is a sitting room located on the ground floor where you can relax in front of the 32 inch smart TV. The spacious bedroom is located on the top floor and comes complete with a king size bed made up with luxury Egyptian cotton sheets, plump pillows and duvet. The ensuite bathroom has a large walk in shower with all toiletries provided.
Waiting Room – The largest of the three, this duplex style room offers a spacious bedroom on the top floor complete with king size bed fully made up with Egyptian cotton sheets, duvet and plump pillows. The en-suite bathroom has a large walk in shower and also a bath with guest toiletries provided. The sitting room is located on the ground floor and features a double sofa bed and a 32 inch smart TV.
