Bossington Hall offers a choice of luxury bed and breakfast rooms close to the coast in beautiful Exmoor National Park, Somerset.  With stunning views of the sea and moors this Arts & Crafts inspired boutique b&b is new for 2021, and sure to be a best seller!

A family home, then apartments, once again a single residence, this magnificent Edwardian country house exudes the elegance and charm of a period property but has been rejuvenated by its current owner (including the installation of Wifi and 21st century plumbing!) and stylishly converted into an exclusive choice of luxury bed and breakfast rooms.

A perfect year ’round Coast and Country retreat, Bossington Hall is full of interesting, quirky and cosy spaces.  Situated in a peaceful, bucolic rural hamlet, overlooking the rugged Bristol Channel coast, surrounded by breathtaking Exmoor countryside.  Stunning scenery, sensational views, the Hall’s private lane leads directly into the woods of the National Trust Holnicote Estate.  And being just a 10 minute walk from the South West Coastal Path, which joins the Coleridge Way at Porlock, Bossington Hall is an ideal base for walkers.

Exmoor is a vibrant holiday destination with many places to enjoy during your stay.  Exmoor Owl and Hawk Centre is just 2 mins from the Hall, and there are numerous venues to book Exmoor horse riding and other outdoor adventure experiences, such as climbing, rafting, cycling and archery.  Of course, if you prefer, you can just enjoy the wonderful setting Bossington Hall luxury b&b provides, giving you the space to breathe, time to think and peace to unwind.

Bossington Hall is a unique place to stay, with the most breathtaking views across Exmoor and Bossington Bay reaching down to Lynton headlands.  The panoramic view is probably one of the best in Somerset, if not the southwest.

Originally built in 1911 and simply called “Lynch”, this stunning Edwardian house  has an interesting history, well worth a read on the website. The property was renamed ‘Bossington Hall’ in 2016 by its current owner, Guy Dewdney, because there was another ‘Lynch Country House’ in nearby Somerton, and also he wanted to give the place a fresh, new name, along with a fresh start as a boutique b&b.

Guy has gone about converting the house back from apartments to a single, magnificent country house, bringing it both forwards and up to date into the new millennium, but also retaining the grace and elegance of the Edwardian period.

Bossington Hall is a brand new luxury bed and breakfast offering for 2021 so guest bedrooms and bathrooms are all newly appointed, but being Arts & Crafts inspired, the interiors have been purposely styled in keeping with a 1920’s bygone era.  Character and comfort feature throughout; the dining room has huge oak mullioned windows rising up to the ceiling giving wonderful light and views even on inclement days, and the snug guest lounge has deep, comfy sofas, and yet another stunning view, of Dunkery Beacon, the highest point in Somerset and Exmoor.

Proudly a Grade II listed building, Bossington Hall has WiFi throughout, mains pressure hot water (and plenty of it!), and a computer-controlled central heating system.

Guests have full and free access to an array of amenities including a 10 seater home cinema, the oldest private squash court in England, outdoor tennis court and children’s outdoor play area.  There are also 8 acres of lovely informal gardens, woodlands, a pond and shallow river for guests to enjoy.
