Wake up in wonderful Wensleydale in the heart of The Yorkshire Dales National Park at this stylish boutique B&B.  The House at Hawes, brand new for 2021, is Tim and Fiona’s third boutique B&B and they believe their best!

This grand Victorian villa has been transformed by a chic and eclectic makeover. Each of the spacious bedrooms celebrates the Yorkshire Dales’ fine heritage with the odd quirk here and there. Relax and sink into a super king sized bed, dressed in fine linens with a pillow menu. Refresh in the rainfall shower with pampering Temple Spa toiletries. Revive with a freshly brewed coffee from your Nespresso machine or maybe something fizzy from your in-room fridge.

Fiona is famed for her breakfasts be it a ‘Great Yorkshire’, packed with local produce, or one of her frequently changing blackboard specials full of flavours from around the globe. All served with a good helping of relaxed humour and first class customer service from Tim. Fiona and Tim’s previous B&Bs won a host of awards and accolades and we are sure The House of Hawes will follow this path.

The highest market town in England, Hawes has found fame in both TV and Film, including All Creatures Great and Small and on the big screen, spectacular Hardraw Force, England’s highest, single drop waterfall was a location in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Every shop and eatery is proudly independent in Hawes and the foodies amongst you will be in heaven.  Feast on local delicacies including Wensleydale cheese from the creamery just a few minutes walk away and a wealth of other artisan producers including a cookery school. For walkers, routes including The Pennine Way are on the doorstep, or if cycling is your thing retrace the path of The Tour de France and Tour de Yorkshire. For more sedate sightseeing there are abbeys, castles and gardens galore, or in the glorious countryside get back to nature watching the salmon leap from babbling brooks or the wistful play of the resident red squirrels.

Built around 1900 from local Stags Fell stone, The House at Hawes has grand Victorian proportions.

A stunning entrance hall with stained glass and oak floorboards has a comfy settle, where you can sit a while and plan your day studying the giant OS wallpaper map of Wensleydale and Swaledale.

The Breakfast Room retains original features including panelled windows, stripped floorboards and a stunning marble fireplace; finished in contemporary coloured décor with bespoke-made tables to compliment. Walls throughout are adorned with Tim’s photography and individual art collected over the years.

With on site parking, The House at Hawes is ideally located just a couple of minutes into the centre of Hawes. You can easily stroll to one of the many cafes, pubs and eateries. Or perhaps relax with friends in the pretty garden and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales fell views all around.

The generously sized guest rooms are filled to the brim with the finishing touches you would expect to see in the best of boutique hotels. Super king or king beds, 2 relaxing chairs, fine cotton bedlinen, a pillow menu, Smart TV, bluetooth speaker, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge and truly scrumptious homemade treats.

Ensuites are contemporary with large rainfall showers, feature washbasins sat on a chunk of Yorkshire oak, large fluffy bath sheets and pampering Temple Spa toiletries.

One super king ground floor room is large and spacious and ideal for those not wanting to climb the stairs to bed.

Oooh and did we mention the Yorkshire fell views!
