Boutique & Breakfast

The Lodge at Ruddington is said to be one of Nottingham’s most indulgent B&B’s, and a very fitting description it is, for this outstanding boutique accommodation in a tranquil setting just 8 minutes south of the vibrant city centre.  An exciting and ultimately, more interesting alternative to a stay in the bland and boring everyday hotel, The Lodge at Ruddington offers luxurious living space and first class service guaranteed to make your visit to Nottingham distinctly more memorable in every way.

There are two extensive suites to choose from, embellished with an eclectic and tasteful mix of Thai inspired features to create a soothing environment with an air of opulence.  The gentle sound of the water fountain from the courtyard outside further adds to the calming influences, transporting you into a multicultural paradise, especially during the summer months.

Peter, The Lodge’s owner, is a vastly experienced, open and responsive host; looking after you, the way you want to be looked after, is his top priority, ensuring every guest stay is ‘first class all the way’.  From the complimentary courtesy car from any local bus or train station, airport etc. in Nottingham, welcome drink on arrival and a tour of the property, to his expert knowledge, recommendations and advice for your visit to the area, nothing is too much trouble.  Peter is also a culinary wizard and using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, will create a fabulous bespoke breakfast for you, that’s right, bespoke, no set menu, no timetable, whatever you want, whenever you want, the world really is your oyster!

The neighbouring golf course provides a lovely backdrop to The Lodge giving way to expansive views and a sense of space; there is also a very nice gastro pub just two minutes walk away, the epitome of local life with that quiet village vibe. And yet… the beating heart of Nottingham, a paradise for shoppers and with its renowned nightlife is just 15 minutes away. For sports enthusiasts there is a plethora of action to be found all within a 10 minute drive: cricket at Trent Bridge, Nottingham Forest Football Club’s City Ground, and for adventure and adrenaline activities, Holme Pierrepont Country Park, home of  The National Water Sports Centre.

So the location couldn’t be better… for business, leisure, or an indulgent escape on the doorstep of one of middle England’s most fun-loving, favourite towns.

The Lodge at Ruddington offers things you simply won’t find at a city centre hotel: luxury, tranquility, space and excellent individual customer care – defy ordinary and you’ll feel the difference!

Set behind secure electronic gates in walled gardens on the edge of the village, first impressions of The Lodge at Ruddington are of a smart, quirky property, with five stars above the name indicating luxury accommodation, but perhaps also a secret inside waiting to be discovered.

Guests arriving independently by their own means, can of course, enjoy secure parking and worry not about their transport.  However the walls also provide privacy and when the gates close behind you, there is a feeling of excitement, that you have arrived at your destination by special invitation, and that this is no ordinary bed and breakfast.

There are two luxurious suites to choose from: The Bollinger Suite, on the first floor, has two separate sleeping areas and lounge adorned with an abundance of plush seating and stylish furnishings.  Lovely open views out over the golf course makes the living area a most appealing place to spend time, light and airy during the day, cosy and quiet at night. Downstairs, there is a private dining room enriched by a beautiful piano and an engaging selection of musically themed art.  The Garden Suite has two sumptuous rooms and at ground level, enjoys the benefit of its own private courtyard. Whichever suite you choose for your stay, you can rest assured the warm tones and contrasting touches that make each of these spaces unique, will quickly soothe away the stresses and pressures of life beyond these walls.

The Lodge is a real hidden gem boutique b&b, convenient for Nottingham but in a village environment much more pleasing and pleasantly situated and with added benefits.  For example, Ruddington Grange Golf Course can be accessed directly from the garden and Peter has negotiated discounted rates on green fees for his guests. One of Nottingham’s best gastropubs is also within walking distance, just 2 minutes down the road and again discounts have been arranged – little things like that which make The Lodge unlike anywhere else.

Enjoying all the usual facilities that you would expect at a luxury b&b, but in Peter’s safe and experienced hands, with an added touch of magic, your stay at The Lodge at Ruddington will surely leave you wondering, “Why have I waited so long to experience the benefits of boutique accommodation?” a luxurious and unique alternative to that faceless chain hotel.

There are two spacious Suites to choose from:

Our second stay at the lovely Lodge at Ruddington. This time we were lucky to be able to stay in the upstairs suite, just beautiful and spotlessly clean. We had a fantastic nights sleep in the very comfy beds. Yet again Peter didn't fail to be the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble for this gentlemen. We have met him now a few times and I would class him as a friend. Keep up the good work Peter you should be so proud of The Lodge it really is lovely.
